AVP’s Jason Rottenberg judges 2017 Rollins College Venture Plan Competition
The Rollins Venture Plan Competition provides entrepreneurs in Central Florida an opportunity to develop and introduce a new product or business to the marketplace. Participants compete for prize money, in-kind services and an equity investment offer before a panel of distinguished judges, all of whom are successful investors and entrepreneurs. Competition judges are experienced investors and entrepreneurial-minded practitioners in the business community.
“The participants poured their hearts and souls into their projects and presented fascinating products and solutions to the judges”, stated Arsenal Venture Partners’ Co-Founder and General Partner, Jason Rottenberg. “This was a tough competition, and I applaud all the competitors.”
The 2017 Rollins Venture Plan Competition awarded a total of $50,000 in cash prizes. First place winner FleetZoo was awarded a cash prize of $25,000. The total value of this year’s prize package, including cash distributed and in-kind donations from our partners, was $112,000. Through a partnership with venVelo, a Winter Park-based, early-stage venture capital firm, the winner of the Rollins Venture Plan Competition is automatically offered an additional $25,000 equity investment in addition to their $25,000 cash prize.
